Robert Burns Day!

#January the 25th is the annual celebratory tribute to the work of #Scottish poet #RobertBurns. Most #Burns suppers include a typical #Scottish meal with Haggis, neeps & tatties!

Around the world tributes to #Burns are held through the ritual of the burns supper. Originally, they were started a few years after his death by friends, to honour his memory. Now, the suppers are celebrated annually on the date of his birth, 25th January.

Some of #Burns most famous work includes My Luve is like a red red rose, Ae Fond Kiss, Auld Lang Syne and To a Mouse.

Our #Scotland collection features the work of #RobertBurns with quotes from his poems engraved on all pieces of #jewellery.

The #redrose ring above features a princes cut #diamond and the iconic line "O my luves like a red, red rose".

The #RobertBurns bangle hand engraved in #Scotland, it reads "But to see her was to love her; Love but her, and love forever".

These #ScotlandForever #cufflinks are made in #silver and can be customised to include a name, date or any colour of stone. The engraving is completed by local Scottish engravers.

Happy New Year

Dear Friends
Happy New Year to you all. Thank you for being part of our journey in 2014  and we hope you will be part  of 2015.
We hope you have had a fantastic, successful year and most importantly you and your loved ones are healthy and safe,
It's been an amazing, exciting year that brought with it new challenges , new directions , new journeys and we have made some wonderful new friends that have made it all worthwhile.

We were  proud to be part of a truly memorable year in Glasgow  with the Commonwealth Games bringing the City to life: our highlights were creating the ring for Cyclist Chris Pritchard’s Engagement seen live on TV after his Race and having Members of Team Jamaica visit the Studio and staying in touch since.
We took our first brave step outside our City with our partnership with Aberdeen FC and have found a special place in our heart for the Granite City. Now that our friendship is sealed in 'red' we hope to strengthen it and take it to the next level.
Fulham our first step in England , wow it really is a dream come true and our 'whites'  dream has just began with our very recent launch at Craven Cottage and visits to Motspur Park it's been truly magical.

The real work begins in 2015 and we can't wait. We thank everyone at the Club for making it such a pleasure. Our links to the Old Firm just got more exciting with the first Derby in three years in 2015. We thank everyone at both Rangers and Celtic and look forward to working with both Clubs in 2015.
Highlights of course must include the World Cup 2014 and supporting all our friends in Team USA who have always encouraged us and believed in us. Never saying 'why' to a new idea but 'why not'.
Our good friend DaMarcus Beasley was dazzling. We were so proud of him; respect his Announcement to retirement from International Football. We wish him good luck at MLS Club Houston Dynamo and congratulate on him becoming a Dad to a beautiful baby girl Lia.

Other Highlights were: Recently creating a Custom Made ring for a gentleman in Los Angeles. she said YES to a beautifully Created in Sapphire and Diamonds.
Being on a Football Talk Show 'Cottage Talk' live from Boston when I was actually allowed to talk!!
It was an honour to be on the judging panel for the Scottish Chamber Awards, a very big thanks to everyone and the Glasgow Chamber. Also big thanks to the Scottish Council for Development and Industry
who have continued to support us. Thanks also to People Make Glasgow and to 29 Glasgow where we are based. We love that we can offer a totally unique, private, personal relaxed service surrounded
by luxury and offering great prices.

We stayed true to our commitment to supporting Charity  which included supporting Mary's Meals , Klbryde Hospice, Marie Curie ,  Macmillan Cancer Support and AFC Community Trust.
We hope we can do much more in 2015 and will continue to count our blessings every day.
We are excited for the year ahead  and already working hard to make it our best season ever.

We wish you well and hope 2015 is all that you dream off and more.
Love Summera and the Team
, Sarah , Megan and Lewis xx

The birthstone for the month of January

For those born in the month of #January the #garnet is the traditional birthstone. The stone is associated with purity, trust, faithfulness and friendship.

The popular #January birthstone is most commonly found in Sri Lanka, Malaya, India, Africa, Uruguay, U.S and Brazil.

The traditional colour associated with the #garnet is the deep red colour and was strongly favoured as a popular gem in Victorian Jewellery.

The symbolic meaning of the red colour was fire and was associated with #power and #importance. The #January birthstone doesn't just come in red but nearly all other colours too.

The word #garnet is derived from the Greek word "granatum" which means pomegranate seed, reflecting the shape and colour of the crystals.

Treat that special person celebrating their #birthday this month to some stunning new #jewellery by having the #garnet made into a ring, pendant or earrings.
